VERONICA MAINETTI

Founder & CEO

Veronica Mainetti is an Italian entrepreneur, sustainable redeveloper, environmental activist, visual artist and proud mamma, based in the beautifully dualistic cities of NYC/LA.

Veronica’s home office resides in Mother Nature’s main building, Planet Earth. Here in the natural habitats of environmental reawakening, is her personal world of rock and ice climbing, riding bikes through the woods, chasing sunsets, or simply out for a jog alongside RYSIT’s Chief Canine Officer — our endlessly endearing Miss Truffle! Photography devotee, step counter, sunrise and life lover, Veronica is like a living embodiment of photosynthesis.

As founder and CEO of RYSIT, her passion for all things nature summons an extensive background in sustainable applications to envision a future of redevelopment centered on environmental practices.

Named by the New York Post as one of the 20 most influential people in New York real estate, and ranked 3 years in a row in the Power 100, Veronica’s background includes the conservation and redevelopment of several historic buildings — most notably the ongoing restoration of New York’s beloved Flatiron Building. The Fine Arts Building in Los Angeles and the Clock Tower Building in Santa Monica have also been part of this illustrious portfolio, and since 2003 she’s overseen the completion of two redeveloped loft conversions in New York City. Known as Giglio on Greene in SoHo’s Greene Street, this became the first under a new Giglio certificate in sustainable development practice created by Veronica as President of The Sorgente Group. Next, she would spearhead the redevelopment of Giglio on White at 60 White Street in Tribeca, the first sustainable restoration of an historical building of its kind in New York. For this, she received the America Award of the Italy-USA Foundation. During reconstruction, a documentary was underway to chronicle Giglio on White’s story and the struggle to implement modern sustainability practices in code with the historically landmarked building's restoration.
